Effin awesome, just plain effin awesome.  All I need to know about now is the soundwave that's supposedly coming out in the classics line.  I'm gonna buy three scourges immediately as he was one of my favorites from the movie.  Dammit I'm gonna be so broke, but right now I don't effin care.  We're getting a G1 Skyfire!!!!!!!  :tfdance Doin the happy dance, doin the happy dance....

Does my eyes decieve me? Are these massive fanwoods I had to wade through just to post here caused solely by Hasbro? Well... I hope now that ppl aren't dissappointed at them now.

 

This is all awesome news, and combined with the news about the beast Minicons(which I've been waiting for kthx), this is the best TF newsweek ever. But, now comes the wait for these guys to hit shelves... :tfsad

Today - Transformers Classics and Transformers Titanium.

 

I'm going to state this right off the bat - yes, I was able to see pictures on some of this stuff. No, I do not have any physical copy of any picture. No, the pictures NOT circulating on the 'net. No, I can not get you a picture, even if you swear on your mother's grave.

 

So, here we go.

 

Transformers Classics

- Cliffjumper

- Ramjet

 

I do not know their size. I do not know if Cliffjumper is a redeco or a repaint. Same goes for Ramjet. All I know is they are listed as upcoming products in the Classics line. No, nothing about a Skywarp or Thundercracker. Sorry

 

- Grimlock

 

I've seen a couple pictures. Color sheet that was shown a few weeks back looks pretty spot-on. Looks to be pretty posable, even in T-Rex form. Overall, if you can get past the different transformation (from what we've seen in pictures and the color sheet) from what we're used to, he should be a pretty good figure.

 

- Mirage

 

The best way to describe his robot mode is to have you think Energon Prowl, but not so kiddy-feeling. He does resemble G1 Mirage in vehicle mode, but he looks more like Energon Prowl in robot mode. Not sure on posability, picture was pretty small

 

- Jetfire

 

This figure could be the best figure in the line. If you enjoyed the G1 style for the jet mode, you're in luck - it's pretty much the same, even with the extra red armor/weaponry thingy whatever (I do not own a G1 Jetfire). In robot mode, he resembles mostly the G1 toy, but does have what feels like a G1 cartoon chest. Apparently he has two heads/faces? (like in War Within, a "battle mask" or whatever, so he has both cartoon and G1 toy faces/heads). Not entirely sure, couldn't tell in the picture, was actually told that.

 

- Mini-Cons

 

They're in Transformers Classics packaging. But I'm not sure if they are considered "Classics" figures, or if Hasbro is just continuing the Mini-Con releases but in Classics packaging. Most of everything coming out this fall is in the same Classics packaging, so it's hard to say. The name Nightscream was mentioned as one of the Mini-Cons. Something else about a tank, helicopter, and a boat? Again, I'm not sure, that was word of mouth, no pictures.

 

 

Transformers Titanium

 

The most notable figures coming out are in the 6" transformable portion of the line. I only recall a few of them and will have to double check on the rest, but here's what I got.

I saw a picture of the 6" Scourge. He is G1. He does look just like the cartoon, colors and everything. And I have to agree with those who have mentioned they've seen it - he looks awesome.

Optimus v. Megatron 2 packs

 

This time I'm not going off a description, but off a picture.

 

These are deluxe figures, and supposed to be brand new molds. The Optimus Prime figure is indeed a G1 figure, but his vehicle mode is hauntingly familiar to Robot Masters Optimus Prime in vehicle mode. He seems to have a lot of articulation ... the way they had him posed in the packaging art made me think of THS-02 Convoy in terms of articulation. Could be just really good packaging art though. (wasn't THS-01 Galaxy Convoy?)

 

No idea his accessories.

 

The Megatron is indeed G2 Megatron. In tank mode, he's green with purple camoflauge, just like his G2 incarnation. This is *NOT* the Hero mold from what I could tell. The picture was pretty small, but I do believe his gun is now on his arm as opposed to his shoulder? Again, not sure. Need bigger pictures!

 

The $39.99 two pack of "Optimus v. Megatron" is actually the ultra sized BW figures. Now, like everyone else, I'm curious as to if they're the original, or if they're the Beast Wars Reborn set from Takara-Tomy. My source believed it was the BWR set and NOT the original Ultra figures, but he is unable to confirm. To the same, reliable sources have said they're just the original Ultra figures. So, just to be safe, we know they're the Ultra sized figures. We just don't know which ones.

Classics, is just all kinds of awesomeness, with Ramjet added too, more for Optimus Prime to Run over because he has got the touch.

The tail end of Cybertron sounds good, especially since I am cutting down to Basics and Deluxe size so have rroom for all the extra goodies coming out later this year.
