Perceptor was one of the most awesome G1 toys ever and you know it.

I'll say it again, these new alterations are splendid, and wouldn't mind if they did away with the usual Starscream colours, to increase that disguise factor on the Alt mode.

 

 

With some sort of 'Death from Above' like motto by the cockpit.

I'd be all for putting a fresh spin in the realm of theoretical and make-believe.

Well, that would be a 100% certain way to get me _not_ to buy the toy, that's for sure.  If it were supposed to be just some random jet transformer, then that would be a little different (though if the robot mode didn't have some color it would still be :tdown) but there's only so far you can go and still justifiably call it G1 Starscream.

 

Actually that same position holds regarding the massive tail slabs and other jet-mode concessions as well; on another character they might be okay, but come on people, this is supposed to be Starscream.  I can handle a certain amount of concessions being made to the alt-mode; but when it turns out that some designer puts on these huge waist slabs, and we *know* it's not necessary for the transformation because we've seen pictures of it done without them, it's pretty easy to think that the designer is just doing his own thing with no respect whatsoever for the original character design, or for individuals who might be fans of the particular character.  It shouldn't surprise you if some of the people who were excited about the idea of getting a Masterpiece _Starscream_ are less than happy about this.

 

All that in mind, RM Starscream is a better representation of Starscream than this is looking to be.  Which, for a supposedly 'Masterpiece' figure, is kind of pathetic.

Oh well.

 

I can't make transformers, so I guess I won't Starscream about it.
