:roll You do realize that the term "seeker" is 100% fan-made retcon garbage, right?  Akin to referring to every combining team as a "gestalt".  Except that "seeker" isn't German for "jet plane" like "gestalt" is German for "combining team" (loose translation, but close enough).

So, what "seeker abilities" that couldn't be utilised as a garbage truck are you referring to, exactly?  Enlighten me.

All of the seekers were written in continuity as flight based warriors in pre eath Alt mode as well as earthern.

G1 comic, G1 cartoon and Dreamwave's War Within all did this. It's canon whatever it's called.

And tech specs gave most of them air based personalities and skills.

Thundercracker for instance has a hatred and contempt for land based life and his main weapon is the ability to create a sonic boom.

Not exactly something that ties in well to being a garbage truck is it?

So Starscream all you want about the term, I was just using it to describe what is officially a bunch of Transformers all written as being high speed flight based and having skills particular to that type of alt mode.

Garbage trucks can't move at mach 2.8, they can't create sonic booms, they're not super manouverable or efficient war machines, they're not armed with a vast array of weapons, they don't make for teams that can seek out and destory targets land based vehicles could not, they don't make for a crack squad that can appear out of nowhere, unload a world of hurt and be gone before anyone knows what happened.

These are the abilities of the characters we call seekers according to canon, not fans.

They weren't just land based soldiers, they were written as hunters, trackers and killers, high speed, highly manouverable fighting machines that fought in a 360 degree battlefield.

A garbage truck would be like crippling these guys.

So that's all part of their personalities. I'm sure if their sparks got stuck in garbage trucks, they'd say "well that sucks, we can't fly anymore" and have to deal with it. Exisitng abilites are not tied to sparks...just personalities. I didn't think this would be a point of contention.

Oh and

Linking pics to other boards is lame anyway

If you spent all of your life learning to kickbox and became an excellent martial artist, then broke your spine and wound up paralyzed from the waist down, you'd be able to learn to fight using a different style, but you'd never be able to fight as effectively as you once had, nor use the skills you had learnt and still remember.

Why put a kickboxers spark into a legless body so to speak?

You should probably ask BM Rattrap.

Exactly. Individual personalities are connected to abilities in that sense.

You're talking about something that's either learned or programmed, which is information stored in data tracks. It's made pretty clear in BW that sparks and data tracks are two separate things. Hence Silverbolt having a fully intact spark but having no memories at all of Cybertron or who he used to be.

I wonder if Waspinator had that lisp on Cybertron?
