Need help from anyone with 3D modelling ability!!!

Recommended Posts

Hey guys... I just bought a cheap CAD program that is supposedly for designing kitchens, but they don't offer a bunch of options in the catalog for cabinets and stuff... basically, I need a few items modelled as custom 3D objects in 3DS or DXF format.  Nothing fancy at all... just rectangles, really, for use as fillers.  In width by height by depth format, I need boxes in the following sizes:

3" x 30.5" x 25"  (base filler)

.75" x 30.5" x 25" (base panel)

3" x 30" x 25"  (wall filler)

.75" x 30" x 25" (wall panel)

I should be able to adjust the sizes once I load the items into the program, so really even one of these items would be enough.  I don't have any modelling experience or software, but I would assume that a basic rectangle shouldn't take but a few minutes to make... any help would be appreciated!  Thanks...

Aw man. I am so out of practice on 3D. I would code you up some Renderware meshes and convert them. Unfortunately the designer thing doesn't work on Windows XP! I know there are some 3D Modellers over at TFW or TFD (I get them confused), like Lord Primus for example. Maybe they can help.

Cool, thanks!  My guitarist is taking CAD at ITT Tech right now, so he may be able to hook me up too.  If not, I'll talk to who you mentioned there... You rock, dude!

Lemme see if I can get AutoCad reinstalled today. I was a drafter/designer/illustrator/3d modeler in my past life.

Dude, im taking Engineering Design in college., but I dont have Autocad at home, only Pro Engineer, which sucks balls.

GZ, 3d is my hobby. I'll model whatever you want.  I'll send those rectangles to you.  Which format would you rather have them in?
