Been seeing a lot more G1 knockoffs on Ebay, and yes, I have purchased some.  I bought a Knockoff Prime for $50, not a shabby deal for the memories.  Can't afford the real thing  :tdown

 

A ton of Frenzy and Laserbeaks MOC knockoffs are still on there, and although not exactly like the original, still decent for those of us who can't afford the real thing.

How do you guys feel about these things?  I think they are very cool, especially since I don't have the cash to shell out for originals.

Since some of the KO's are commanding prices similar to the reissues (OP for example), I'd prefer to get the reissues instead; just my two cents :wave

I'm a fan of Knock off figures that don't parade as the real thing, but I can't stand the fact so many fakes are being sold as legit and ripping off so many people.

It's the ripoffs that keep me from buying from overseas.

Welcome to the fourms. Gotta question could you get these G1 bootlegs at fleamarkets and the like? It's summer and I haven't been in a while!

i hate them!!!!

I buy them fully knowing they are knockoffs, I wouldn't dare pay a seller if I felt they were trying to pass it off as the real deal.  Good thing is, many of these Chinese and Hong Kong Ebay sellers are honest enough to point this out in there listings and you can get great deals on them.

 

I wish I could afford to get the real ones though, but these are real in my heart :)

I don't mind them. They look like originals. The micros ones are crap tho since the backer card is wrong all together. Beachcomber and Prime look fine tho.

I'd love to get all of these KO's.... if they were being issued at retail prices...  These sellers are instead selling them at reissue-markup prices which is just ridiculous :tdown
