I finally took some time to do this... It is just a simply part swap, so I don't know if this belong to toy discussion or kitbash section.  Anyways, I swap the 'wings', head lights and the under board of the force chip part of the 2 mold; Here are the end result...

I would guess paint thinner, rubbing alcohol, or Brasso.

 

I actually like him more without the flames...

rubbing alcohol, it takes the longest time but it the least harsh on the plastic where as paint thinner will break down the plastic & it will become cloudy...

I like the flames personally~  It's preferrance I guess... one more thing though, I notice that on Excellion / Hotshot mold, there are arrows on the lower legs that looks exactly like the leg sticker for Hot Rod, has anyone painted those yet? I kind want to see the results~
