it makes you think about what would have been more G1 accurate: a tank Megs in classic G1 colors or a gun Megs in funky psychedelic colors. i guess it all depends on whatever some one considered more important: colors or alt-mode. i'm more of a colors man myself but i'm not that umbilically attached to G1 that i can't enjoy a toy if it isn;t a perfect homage.

The head sculpt is great to me, the bot mode not so good and well the gun is kind of a junker.....but over all I might give it a 5.5 or 6 out of 10.  Classic G1 color scheme would have helped the score quite a bit for me.

I dunno, alt mode is a lot of what makes a TF who he is IMO... which is why I am not in love with Alternators made from non-car characters, for example.

 

Again, I'm as "tank not gun" as anyone else, but if it's a deliberate G1 "classics" line....... I think it would be a mistake to change the alt mode
