Cybertron Redecos + Prime Classics Information

Recommended Posts

Thanks to SAGE2764 of talk.transformers for the following information about the upcoming releases of the "Transformers Classics" line along with Cybertron Redecos of Crosswise (G1 Smokescreen) and Vector Prime:

"OPTIMUS will only be in the VOYAGER assortment for the TRANSFORMERS

CLASSICS toyline. He will NOT have a trailer. His blasters transform

into parts of his vehicle mode."

"For TRANSFORMERS CYBERTRON there will be a CROSSWISE redeco. There

won't be a recolor for MUDFLAP now, as they recolored VECTOR PRIME instead."

I like the Crosswise redeco and the Vector Prime.  However, Optimus is a voyager w/o a trailer.  That SUCKS! :guh I want a trailer for Optimus, it just isn't right.  Oh well, I'll get over it.  At least I'm getting WWI Prime :clap

:tfsad .....

Mudflap....

But crosswise is really bad@$$.

... I was all excited for that G1 Smokescreen repaint until I actually saw it.

I guess you can't go home again. :tfsad

Not G1 enough?? :tfhuh

I like the Smokescreen. Though Prime w/o trailer= :tard  :stone  :finger

does everyone in the Cybertron universe have a twin? if Hasbro wants to repaint a toy, they should at least repaint it twice to give it the illusion that those body types are mass-produced.

and as for Classics Prime, Hasbro is really taking their "Kids think base-formers are unfun" stance too far. are you telling me that Prime's trailor serves no purpose unless he can combine with it? even if it can become a battle platform?

ever seen a truck on the highway without a trailer?  it just doesn't look right, and that's how i feel about optimus.  it just isn't right that he doesn't have a trailer, though i guess it won't stop me from buying it.

Given the choice between a 12 or 13cm tall Prime with a trailer, or a 18-19cm tall Prime without one, I'll take the mega w/o trailer.  Deluxe is just too small for Prime.  This is very good news for me.  Now I just hope that the listing for Grimlock as a deluxe is inaccurate as well.

As for Crosswise, great mold, certainly worthy of a repaint, but I'd have much preferred him as Jazz.  With the visor it's a much better fit.

Too bad about Mudflap.  He'd have made a perfect Grapple, and the Vector Prime mold is OK at best.

But overall this has been a good bit of news.
