LoC

Recommended Posts

I picked up LoC Prime and megs today for 4.99 a piece, and will shortly have Starscream from a trade......but also where i bought them were Evac, Scourge and lio breaker...... Im really undecided about these little guys tho, i need any suggestions....please make up my mind

thanx

they are cool toys.

i would get them only because i love little figs plus they are fun t play with.

$4.99US a piece?  That's pretty pricey, seeing as how I got most of mine for $3.99CDN at TRU...

Anyhow, I have all 12 LoC's, so here's my run-down on them:

Wave 1

Optimus Prime: transformation looks great, but paint apps are wrong

Megatron: looks great, but elbows are not poseable, and lacking some paint apps; has a tendancy of tipping over backwards

Starscream: despite the difference in paint apps on the LoC and the larger-sized ones, this one's actually one of my favorites

HotShot: I like this one a lot, but his elbows and knees don't bend

Wave 2

Jetfire: another one of my favorites, but arms don't slide forward, and is back-heavy

Evac: he's ok; looks slightly odd in bot mode

Scourge: Don't like this one too much, since his proportions are way off from the regular Ultra-sized figure; his tail doesn't pop off as an axe either...

Leobreaker: I find this one mediocre, but he has a better waist joint than his Voyager-sized counterpart

Wave 3

Galvatron: (See Megatron)

Soundwave: an odd one: looks good in both modes, but doesn't look quite like his Voyager-sized version

VectorPrime: a near-perfect conversion of the Voyager-sized toy, but he wasn't so great as a Voyager either way

CD Redalert: great alt mode, but doesn't transform nor look quite like his Ultra-sized robot mode

Hope this sorta helps.

next question does leobreaker combine with prime? or do i have to KB the hell outta him for this to work...or would it be a fairly easy job?

No, Leobreaker doesn't link up with Optimus.  There's no trailer for Prime, so the LigerConvoy/SavageClaw mode would be incomplete anyways.  It should be kitbashable anyhow.

man I wish I could find LoCs....

Starscream's by far the best mold, try to pick up Ramjet & Skywarp too,

Not a bad price on Ramjet:

I've so far only gotten two of the LoC, Hot Shot and Galvatron, and while they're not as poseable and as good looking as their bigger versions, they are good in their own way.  For tiny basics that are more of less the same size as the Spychargers from RID, they're well made and have more playability to them than the Spychargers did.  For kitbashers, they could be good TF's to work on inbetween projects.
