I bought Canonball and Skywarp on Friday.  Canonball rocks.  Skywarp looks nice, but his left arm is even looser than Thundercracker's.  A very bittersweet purchase for me.  I would have taken him back, but I don't suspect it is any better with any other Skywarp.  I may just have to see what I can do personally to fix it.

Instead of bringing TC back I removed the entire arm and dropped a small wad of funtac on the peg then slapped it back on. A quick fix for sure but at least I can pose him properly without having the arm drop out of place. :thumb

 

As for the mold. It was a good concept but badly executed. I have the Armada release of Smokejumper and he's a lot diferent in transformation. E Starscream however is identacle only done properly and how TC should have been done as well.

skywarp reminds me of g1 season 3. paired up with excellion I think they go well together. g2 versions of season 3

I'm gettin him, mainly cause I'm a sucker for the Sukhoi Flanker.

 

I'd be all giddy if they went with Su-35 or Su-37 (Sunstorm?) colors.

Saw Canonball today and picked him up... not too keen on the neon green Skullz, but I remember that there way to remove paint apps.

 

Was it rubbing alcohol that took off things like the flames on Alt. Skidz, etc.?

 

Otherwise, the rest of the black / silver / tan looks pretty cool.

Actually I still haven't picked up Red alert, I may just get this. I'm not too keen on the skulls either, but I'll wait until it's in my hands to pass judgment.

I saw Skywarp and Cannonball today at the Morris IL Wally World.  Wow!  I mean seriously, I've come to accept that Hasbro pretty much hates adult fans, but I didn't know they hated kids too!  The colors on these guys are absolutely atrocious.  I like the shade of purple they chose for Skywarp--but having it as the primary color on a Sukhoi Flanker, combined with clashing red bits on the wings, it damn near burned my retinas!  It would be an AWESOME color for a repaint of C. Downshift though, especially if they kept the black roof and trim.  And Cannonball!  The charcoal-and-gold looks great, but OMG those neon green skeletons are so hideous!  And why would a Cybertronian robot space pirate paint human skeletons on himself anyway, when it's not that likely he ever would have encountered humans before?  According to the bio on his card he spends all his time on Cybertron and in space!  Where'd he meet humans?  Where did the TF who painted the skeletons on him meet humans?  If it was a robotic-looking endoskeleton or something I could almost see it but HUMAN SKELETONS?!?!  Good Lord.  I should have realized when I entered the toy section of the store, and smelled the odor of cheese.  I followed it right to Cannonball.  I'm totally serial.  One of the dumbest TFs I've ever seen.

 

 

On the plus side I did pick up the only Wing Saber :thumb

I bought 'em both yesterday. I really wish they would have fixed the shoulders for Skywarp. That gimmick is horrible. The hips could have been corrected too, but oh well. Cannonball is cool, but I just don't get the pirate deal. I guess the eyepatch looks pretty cool though.
