What can I say but oh dear.

 

I have it now and I've been looking at the saddest version of Prime yet.

 

Minimal paintwork (mostly unpainted red plastic), loose joints, and really don't get me started on the leg design..what were they thinking Orthopedic Leg-brace Prime?!

 

So why did I get it. Blame Remy for having an incredible talent for making crap look really good. Just in case I have no problem with Remy as I find his photography skills increadible, and his work very enjoyable.

 

Oh well, once I get a decent airbrush for my upcoming Gundam projects, he gets a proper red spray coating on him, not forgetting his waist grill flipside in silver and yellow).

 

It's so obvious the quality of the Tak vs Has products. Tak is high quality (and most of my Alts are Tak ones) Has seems to be mass produced poo (excluding the 6 inch titaniums I have on pre-order).

 

So this is just a word to the wise, Alt Prime sucks but with a bit of work can look less sucky.

"Minimal Paint work" What? His forearms and shoulders are fully painted red, his upper thighs are silver and he has Black and blue paint all up the front on his legs. Look closer. the Black behind the shin gaurd is painted. His entire head is painted. His crotch, the rear bumper, grill, truck bed, roof, spoiler, exhaust, all painted.

Ya, it's funny how people complain about Alts not being painted. Other than Silverstreak (?) no Alt has ever had a painted car body. BT are, but they are die-cast, so the have to be. Alts are plastic, so they are molded in the appropriate coloured plastic. If you want painted Alts, well I guess you're either going to have to paint them yourself or wait for the BT version.

On topic. I don't think the non painted issue has any place in an argument weather an alt sucks or not. If you want painted buy BTs they're painted whre as alts aren't because they're plastic opposed to metal. :roll

 

As for alt Prime sucking. I'll reserve judgement till only after I buy him. :thumb
