I like both Cybertron and GF Soundwave's voice.

 

Cybertron's version sounds to me like he is flat and no infliction in his words, just a constant drone, run through a filter or two.

 

Kinda like in G1, but its slightly less dominant.

 

He is like a DJ or MC, but not in the slightest way like Blaster.

 

All and all a good job on the voice.

 

As for the toy? I'm waiting for the Cybertron version, just happy to get the mold.

Your comment makes me remember the fact that I cant take every one's opinion on the Cybertron show and everything involed. When I first heard of the show, I read how it was the most horrible piece of crap that ever crapped. All the voices suck and the voice talent is bad. When I watched it, I liked it. None of the dialog sounded silly, the voices were good and the action is great. I bet when I hear Soundwave's voice, I'll be okay with it.

I knew when I made this comment I'd be right. I havent seen episode 39 yet but the new soundwave is using the same Voice synthesizer as the G1 actor used. I'm so happy with the voice. Better than I imagined.

Yep. Now that I've heard it, I have to agree. It sounds good enough to pass as Soundwave. In fact, it's probably good that it's been updated a bit.

Okay I'm watching The episode " Giant" and once again Soundwave does not sound like a DJ or an Emcee.

 

I'd compare him more to Wreckgarr. He sounds more like an emotionless Broadcaster imitating radio waves he's been hearing while in space. He sounds like one of those old school "lost in space""Peewee's playhouse's Conky" style robot voice. I'll never take any one's word again on this show.

 

I remember every one was complaining about Rap TF themesong. Now I just know the people who said these things no nothing of HipHop music.

Soundwave is cool as hell! It's like he openly Mocks the Autobots and takes nothing serious.

I thought so too.

i got the gf toy ages ago. has a slight defect..its the bar bit were the legs attach. the hole wasent drilled at the correct angle. oh well no biggie.

 

as for the toy itself... its great.... but.... he is way too skinny.
