Cybertron Nightbeat

Recommended Posts

Hi.

I don't usually post on this board, I just like to come around and see the great work that all the kitbashers are doing.  I tell ya, I've got a mad case of envy towards anyone who can do that sort of thing.

Anyway, here's my attempt at digibashing Cybertron Downshift into a different character.  I just thought that the mold looked like an old police cruiser, and when coming up with a name, I remembered that there was a G1 character called Nightbeat.

Turns out, it's a pretty appropriate name for a cop, yeah?

If you all are interested, I could probably re-color/re-draw the vehicle mode too.

:thumb  Could be an interesting deco for a Downshift remold, I like the dark blue being complimented by the white and yellow and it'd be super neat with a police light bar on top of the car.  It's more just a concept for a color scheme than a digibash, I guess this is a colored in PDF from his instructions?  Looks pretty sharp when zoomed in, at least it's not sloppy or anything.

Maybe a few too many paint applications to be really realistic, though.  It's got way, way more than Downshift does.

Yeah, I guess it is more of a color scheme concept.  Sorry about that.  And yeah, I figured that there would be too many paint apps.  But, if I had the ability, this is what I would do.

There'd have to be some minor rescultping too, from what I figure: smoothing out the hood and flattening the portion that coves the head in vehicle mode, adding the ram to the bumper up front and a lightbar on top.

It's the kinda thing that makes me wish I had even the slightest bit of scultpting/painting talent.
