I buy 99% of my imported stuff from HLJ and use SAL and never have had problems with it so your total will be about $98 w/shipping so you save whatever bbts is charging for shipping. Plus, usually I buy more than one thing at HLJ so I save on shipping and other stuff also and I usually receive my orders for new release items before retailers in the US receive them most of the if not the same time. People are naïve when they say yeah, there's the cost of shipping is more but when you are paying Japanase retail price you are saving most of the time and oh it takes longer but that's not true and I'll be damn if I pay the 15-40% markup from third party on-line retailers have. I not saying it's wrong for them to do that because it is a business and they need to make a profit but there are alternatives, but if you're more comfortable with that and you're willing to pay the price, that's your perogative.

I used to buy Gundam kits from there weekly it seemed.  I used to love the deal they had worked out with UPS, you could order tons of stuff and not pay an arm and a leg for shipping.  I guess I got spoiled... I didn't buy as much after UPS nixed that deal.  I still keep an eye out there, but since I don't import much anymore HLJ often slips below my radar.  That and every order wants to turn into a $500 binge. :redface

i agree HLJ is good but after i got stung buy customs it just did not seem worth it (the cost came to about the same)

It seems like it takes forever for it to arrive ever since the ups deal stopped. I stopped buying from hlj and now walk to Kicks. I dont think with shipping its that much of a difference and I get the fun of taking it home with me the moment I see it.

I forgot to say that I did get the MP-O1 on 12/24/03 at Kicks. The best Christmas present to myself ever. then of course later I got the Predaking reissue gift set for me 2 years later. So I love mine. Yah I wouldn mind having another misb.

Well I am glad for the people that missed out, but the collector/investor in me was very happy to see that MP Prime was selling for $250 on ebay, and this is going to do nothing but hurt that.

 

Even though I have no intention of ever selling off my collection, and certainly not Prime, I still like knowing that my stuff if worth way more than what I paid.

Well, I guess I'll have to wait longer for my MP Dragon Kizer since I'm getting this.

same here i just use the value thing to justify my buying of so many of the collector aimed products but the truth is i just like them for what they are robot toys
