Alt/BTA Sunstreaker Hybrid

Recommended Posts

...did this

since I'm crazy enough to buy a BTA Sunstreaker for parts

(gotta have those black stripes, and anyway BTs are no fun to play with)

the picture is a bit washed out b/c my camera only has two settings, "snowblind" and "total darkness"... but anyway you get the idea

Basically I just unscrewed a bunch of stuff from the BTA and stuck it on the Alternator. That includes:

head

neck/shoulders

arms

chest

waist (okay, "crotch")

thighs

oh and you can't see it, but I took the tail lights from an Alt Dead End I had as well. (red > white)

I left the feet as-is, because I feared massively screwing it up if I tried to remove those pins from the heels. And anyway the big issue to me was the gray on the arms and legs, which I felt absolutely did not belong on Sunstreaker. I tried giving him red upper arms, but it looked too garish to me.

so there it is

I like it a lot better than the Alternator Sunstreaker that we got...but why didn't you just repaint the parts that you wanted to change?

Did you put all the Alternator parts back on the BTA Sunstreaker?  How does that one look?

because not painting >>>>>>>>>> painting, I like things to look professional

plus I have no skill

sh*tty :tflaugh

the BTA car parts are reeeeally lemony yellow

the black feets gotta go

not gonna happen :P

and I actually don't mind, I'm ambivalent about the yellow feet anyway with the Alternators version's legs being more yellow than the BTA's.

The feet are on ball joint LM. Just pop em off! I had this same Idea But got all content and cheap.

I wonder how red biceps would look too.

I like the black feet...looks more uniform.

Another vote for the black feet.  Don't worry, they're fine.

I actually like this bot-mode color combo better than the Alt by itself.  I originally did a Dead End into Sunstreaker and it's paint scheme was closer to what you have (except black upper legs)  Problem was, the paint chipped really badly, and when the Alt version came out I caved and got one.

Nice job there.  Wish I could get my hands on a cheap BT Streaker and try that myself.  Heh...  :redface

the problem is that the front of the car grill is on the back of his feet ;) otherwise I would have tried it.

And here's a photoshopped version w/ red biceps since I'm too lazy to take another picture :tfgrin

I mean... I kind of like it, but I kind of don't, you know?

and thanks for the vote of confidence, Pun-3X :thumb

Those are some killer water wings.
