Question: Why did the Decepticons go bad.

Answer: They weren' in the fridge long enough.

Or one could say they were in the fridge way too long. :tflaugh

I thought the Keepers were in the novels and not the comics. :tfhuh

In the Marvel comics The Keeper is this old guy who hangs out with Primus' head

I hardly remember it. Around what issue(s) would that be?

Around the time of the Primal Scream

They were bad because seeing Robots fight each other is cool

was there ever an official reason, in any G1 related media, for why the G1 decepticons went bad?

Megatron's Robo Smasher

Well from LOGIC.

Some being that had power and might have been good or had plans no one knew about decided to mark TF's as evil from there spark. Thats how it all started. One mans hidden vision that grew because he wanted a change in the more important inner-parts of Cybertron which is all about goodness, so evil began to want it self. To make that officially happen is ancient knowledge that no one really knows about.

:wave

i'd be on the bandwagon for Shockwave's cause:  Decepticons take over planets, and then leave the autobots on whatever planets they have taken over to defend it, as they will go out and get more planets, to take over the universe!!!
