Where did u get the dumb idea that Cybertron Primus won't have electronics? If anything, it's always the Takara version who ends up not having electronics for a given toy, never the opposite.

For a start buying from Asia is often cheaper, whether through webstores or ebay.

Just for example, an asian store wanted $23 for EMS shipping on a $30 figure, a US store wanted $37 for the same figure they had priced at $40.

 

Secondly, the head is a limited thing. Maybe it will be plentiful enough for stores to import it but maybe it won't.

If I'm paying twice as much as the US price, I would like to feel there was some reason for doing it, justify such a large expenditure.

 

Getting the Jap toy earlier - Justifiable to some.

Waiting and getting Unicron's head - Justifiable to some.

Waiting and getting nothing different to GF Primus as the Unicron release wound up being too limited - Hard to justify at the higher price.

Once again, I don't understand what makes everyone b*tch about this particular topic. It's a toy head. Not a big deal. I mean, I can understand not liking a figure....but it's a little toy head. Get over it. If you're going to be fanboys about it, at least rant about something bigger- like that new Master Collector fig or whatever. But this just doesn't make any sense to me.

I have to agree in general.... I mean the idea of doing this in the first place is pure fanwank. You might argue about the execution but that's another matter.

i too agree that its hasbros way of keeping the price the same despite the size difference. same with takara the box is the bonus. you just have to decide which is better in order to buy
