Okaaaay.  This has probably been discussed already when the figure came out, but I didn't get back into buying TFs then.

 

I just picked up a Universe Optimus Primal.  I'm no beast-former fan, but I got this one for cheap (box was really bashed up although the toy itself was untouched, and I thought he was missing his mace (I didn't know it was stored in his arm); Zellers then gave me a discount).  Anyhow, it seems that the missiles don't fit right in the cannons on his back.  Sorta like this, where the blue is the missile launcher, and the red is the "plus" shaped rod of the missile:

 

 

Is everyone else's Primal like this?  I mean, it's no big deal for me to file down or cut the plastic a bit with an exacto, but I figured missiles should fit where they're supposed to, at least... 

Did you turn them around?

are you talking about the storage holes behind his head?  they don't fit perfectly because it's just storage... mine fits in the 'real' cannon though...

I've had no problems with the missiles. I'll check mine and get back with you, though.

Upon inspecting the missiles and the launcher, I realized that my assumption that the "hook" from the launcher is towards the top was wrong; and that this hook is actually at the bottom.

 

So yeah.  There goes my engineering degree down the drain :P.  I'm an idiot.  Please feel free to rub it in.
