Alternators Runabout

Let me be the first not to kiss A**! Runabout needs to be a muscle car... not that car.... you should have used the dodge viper or even the corvette for him...

I don't like! :tdown  :tdown

Despite that, it`s still a cool looking bot IMO. :thumb Good job.

Nice job!

Heh heh, thanks for your honesty!  In the choice for the mold, I already have a black Viper (Dead End) and a black Vette (Ravage, though mine has a Tracks head), so I didn't feel redundancy should be part of my Alternators Runabout custom.

When I first see images of what an upcoming Alt is, I already start customs planning.  I research the make/model of the car, and sometimes even the subcultures they represent (i.e. car customs world).  I simultaneously search the Transformers database (TFU.info, Universe comics, etc.) for a suitable Transformer candatite.  With Hasbro/Takara providing us with enough Autobots, I customize very few of them (we need more bad guys!).

In terms of "muscle cars" and difference in scale, I'm limited to the mold options that Hasbro/Takara provides.  Though I like Runabout and Runamuck (who I also plan to make in the future), I just don't see them going toe to toe with Grimlock or Tracks.  In comparison with some of my other customs, I feel that even though the Stunticons were once a lot smaller toys than Runabout/Runamuck, I do want them to have a whole lot of muscle (which is why I used a Viper for Brakedown who compares/contrasts nicely with Dead End).

Maybe I'm just rambling, but I just thought it would be insightful if I shared my creation process a bit. Thanks for your interest and your constructive critisim! :thumb
