Howdy All,

 

        I just started watching Galaxy Force (fansubs from TV-Nihon) ... WOW. It's like watching a movie. When I saw a few episodes of Cybertron I thought it looked dumb, for some reason the Japanese version is much better (IMHO). I'm angry at myself for have putting off watching it for so long (nothing else better to do on the train rides to/from work).

 

        Anyone else think the Japanese version is better than the US dubs?

A lot of people. I'm not one of them. I like both versions about the same.

in all honesty, the dub is about as good as RiDs. i find that acceptable but it's too bad that the source material isn't much better.

my only problem is that there's too much focus on the kids who, dispite being in their early teens, act like a bunch of five-year-olds. seriously, there's only three kids but they get something like 45%-50% of the screen time. also, dubing over the stock footage is annoying, they should have just edited it out.

I have just started watching Cyberton on Hasbro.com and I must say it's more entertaining than I thought it would be.  I am on ep 12 and very intrigued by Sideways. Definitely one of the most interesting characters I have seen from TF.

I think the kids are funny in Japanese, but I can't stand them in English.

 

 

Overall I think the Japanese voice cast is better.

They get less time later on in the series, so that is good, though last two/three episodes they get some more time.

 

Overall I quite liked the GF better then Cybertron.

I like them about the same too, but didn't the real first episode get combined with the second in Cybertron?

I agree, I never found the kids annoying. And they actually evolve as characters as the series progresses unlike most Humans in TF cartoons.
