Pearl Harbor sucked.....and I miss you.

I have a feeling that this movie will make transformers a new trendy/cool thing to be into for the laymen

And thats kind of the double edged sword isnt it...

I mean how many Batman fans have been cringing for 12 years now every time they hear:

"who are you?"

"Im Batman"

or

"Where does he get those wonderful toys"

As a fandom we want to be vindicated that what we love so passionatly is indeed worthy of interest - but at the same time it hurts us a little when this love is turned into a sound byte on a taco bell commercial.

sigh.

cheers to buying the whole set of Taco-Bell Glasses when they come out!!!

(hopes they dont do a McDonalds thing- as i cant stand McDonalds)

Hunter

God, I can imagine the sellout factor now. "TRANSFORMERS! OPTIMUS CHERRY SLUSHIE! MEGATRON PURPLE SLUSHIE!"

And the movie will have EDGE, HUMOR, AND HEART. You guys KNOW what that means, right? They'll make it XTREME like Human Torch's random stunt sequences in the FF movie (speaking of which I love how he completely disregards the sequel...nice guy he is), it'll have bad jokes about skidplates and rear thrusters, and it'll have a ridiculous, corny message about how different creeds/races can work together or some sh*t

Crap.  :redface

And Steven spielberg...

Didn't he do War of the worlds too.

:tdown

im expecting a tres cool first half hour or so; then for the rest of the film to blow chunks.

I only know two things....

1: Michael Bay is a tool.

2: Transformers will suck.

That is all... :tftongue

Whoa!  I don't like where this thread is going.  We need to send positive messages into the universe.  If we keep with the negative attitude, this movie will suck or worse, never happen.  Just like what happened with ThunderPug: Strapping Dog Dynamo!

The Transformers name WILL be afouled by Michael "America, F_ck Yeah!*" Bay.

*yes I do realize it's from T.A.:W.P.  :tflaugh that's how MB makes his films.  :tfmad

Well, because of a relatively short production cycle and the large amount of CGI, they are probably using a animating program like XSI, where they are able to start animating before the modeling is completely done.  The network would hook up all of the CG teem's computers.  It works a little something like this.

1 character design is given to the modeler

2 modeler makes a rough model

3 rough model is sent to animator, animator animates rough model

4 modeler continues to refine character model and the animators model is updated automatically through the network

5 Animator continues to refine the animation bassed on the new model

6 the animator and modeler work together this way until both the model and the animation are final and have been given the OK by the director

7 throughout steps 1-6 the background modelers and the FX animators are creating whatever sets and FX are needed and they are automatically updated in the animator's computer

(and that's only for one character in one scene, there are also other character designers, character modelers, character animators, background designers modelers and animators, FX animators, compositors, lighting specialists, and an entire team of software engineers creating new more advanced software as needed)

The network makes it possible for all of the people working on the project to work at the same time and update every part of the animated seen instantaneously.

The network was probably connected to the internet for research prepossess, ... and lunch breaks :tfgrin

i guess - but he disconected it right? so he doesnt really need it hooked up.  Its like ILM artist - makes demo.  burns it to disc. walks it over to conference room. shares for producers. is given notes. goes back to cubicle (with out internet) and finishes project.

Sounds like a very secure process....(if over simplified)

9-thousand hacks huh?

I hope that a few "rabid" retards doesnt give the rest of the fandom a bad name (as if we dont already do that enough our self.....)

that last post was supposed to have this quote on it. Guess I dellited it :redface
