With him being a new mold and of course Prime, I see more than one wave.

i figured...but dont want to get left out if he ends up being in one wave...however...I have been finding the current wave of alts being restocked regularly all over the place....which is great!

Still looks like a total POS to me. No articulation, little ingenuity in the transformation, grossly out of proportion body parts (ie legs too big, arms too small, head too small, chest monsterously big).

I am not impressed w/ this mold, even if it had been Trailbreaker instead of Prime. But, I will admit, I might still be wrong and I would have to see it in person to finalize its "highly disappointing" status.

I will say, thanks for the pictures Bainreese. Finally!!! You da man!!!

It looks like the legs extend and the bended out red flaps fit under the extended legs.

soon see, a lot of people thought skids was stunted as the legs were not extended

I agree that he is mistransformed, however, even if this is the case, I still think is the worst ALT mold since Sideswipe.  The unpainted red plastic has always looked cheap.  There is far too much RED going on!  :eek The legs are the main issue, but also... Hasbro... WHY NOT give him the traditional front grill and then give him a Hood-Chest like Smokes or Meister?! Whats with the rediculous arm kibble?  Why so little articulation?  I think R&D was napping on this one.

It's just sad to see a good idea go to crap!

I will of course, be getting him!

You have the last laugh Prime!  :tflaugh

So far, I'm not impressed.  Rodimus VTS' kitbash is much better.  I'd think a multi-million-dollar company full of professional designers with any tool they want at their fingertips would be able to do better than THIS.  Meh.

sadly the bigger the company the harder some things get, an incredible design turns into a pile of cack after accountants get a hold of the costing figures and foist unwanted re-engineering onto the designers. There also the dreaded design by committe, focus groups and management miscreants that lead to the glaringly inappropriate characters they choose for the molds. (Trailbreaker - Yes, Prime - No)

Alright...since the Allspark boards are down and all you little naysayers are bugging the heck out of me...I'm going to go ahead and post this here first.  Outside of perhaps the feet being mistransformed...as there seems to be a plate that could swivel but doesn't on mine...HE IS NOT MISTRANSFORMED!

Fricken...*($

Heh.

Ok, now that I've got that out of my system...here are some picks to show all you punks what is going on.

First off the pelvis/grill plate.  It does not swivel.  It does not go any other way.  All the pictures you have seen of it the other way are not completely transformed and here is why...

IMG_1162.JPG

The back of the hood has two clips that attach to the grey frame.  They will not attach if the grill is not moved.  The grill hits the lower section of the grey frame and will not allow the clips to click in.  If you move the grill slightly, as I've shown in other pictures, it doesn't look right either and so the only natural positino for the grill is to lay down over the pelvis showing the screws like so.

For those who think the grill may swivel.  No...it doesn't.  Here...

IMG_1166.JPG

The brace is connected to the black portion that is seen through the air dam.  It is bolted and there is no swivel on the blue bracket that connects the grill to the hood.

See?  Do not doubt my Transformation Foo!

Ok...now for the legs.  They are all the way extended.  They don't extend anymore.  Here is why...

IMG_1163.JPG

You see the arrow?  It is pointing to where the black lower portion of the leg which is inside the bed hits against a red plastic brace.  The legs are fully extended.  They don't go out anymore.

Sorry to break it to you.

The one part I WAS a bit off on is that the wheels do have a bar connecting them, but it doesn't move the wheels parallel with each other or act as a tie rod.  They still move independantly like I noted.  The bar is a guide for when you slide the wheels into the chest.
