Why oh why will people pay money to get into a club that sends you one figure a year and 6 bi-monthly newsletters and a cheaper(although still extremely expensive) entry fee for the Botcon convention.  I can't fathom why you would want to do this.  Me personally I refuse to spend the money for the collectors club. Why would should I? I managed to find out just as much as the people who pay for the club do in a matter of minutes without spending a dime.

Im pretty sure it wont be the last time either.  IMO things have gone down hill ever since Botcon 2002.  The conventions have either been insufficiently run or extremely overpriced.  2 Buzzclaws...come on now.  Besided I think I can live with out the free comic book.  Hell I cant give away my dw comics so why would I want more to add to it?

I learned my lesson with the original TF Collectors club. I paid a membership fee for 1 stinkin' magazine. Never did get my PVC Skywarp - teh bastards. Now they are going through bankruptcy hearings, and my money is forfeited. DAMN YOU GLENN HALIT AND 3H PRODUCTIONS!!!!!!  :tdown

 

Needless to say, I don't think that I will be so quick to try again when I can just look here and see the news / pics that matter to me.

 

And the "exclusive" figure released so far is just crap. Make something worthwhile, like the OTFCC Energon Towline - Ratchet / Ironhide repaints and I am sold.  :thumb

The point too is that even if scans of the mag hadnt been leaked - we would start seeing new of these figures soon enough.

 

If the colector's mag is thinking that "First Scoop" on new figures is going to be their marketing point - they are sadly mistaken.

 

As someone else has stated - their own forums rely on us to give THEM news...

 

why should we pay them so that we can do their jobs.

Not like they are re-painting really cool white fences or anything.

im a member and i like it. the comics are quite good and i got nothing against the figures either. the service is spot on aswell. im going to renew and hopefully this year using m member discount im gonna go to botcon
