Alternator Prowl (red box version)

We were doing so well until someone just had to unleash the "toys are not an investment" rhetoric :/

I will speculate on the value of my collection as much as I please.  This hobby does have multiple dimensions for some fans afterall.  Red box Prowl is just another slightly interesting figure I have come across.  I like throwing off the fandom's bell curve, supporting Pepsi Convoy while Cybertron rots on local shelves :P

Thanks to everyone who pointed out variants beside the box style though!

-Yes, I think Swerve was still going for $40+ last time I checked.  That's alot IMO, given he's a 3rd repaint and a no-name character whose sole purpose may have been to half-heartedly appease the outrage over Tracks' short run.  And even that mistake has since been rectified.

-Tracks' "value" was inflated past $80 at one point.  A short release window was certainly a major factor but I'm sure the FUD (fear, uncertainty, doubt) inspired rush didn't help.  A unified collection (all BT or all Alt) is the only reason I can see to even consider paying 2-3 times the import.

-A G1 Computron, 5-6 years ago, went for $60-70 so a trade for 1 Alternator is surprising.  Course, I say this having traded an Alt Tracks right before he got rare for reissue Ricochet and believing I came out on top.  Different stokes or something...

Tracks was a limited release from what I've heard, so if anybody wants to take the purist route, I think RB Tracks (or least, the box itself) would worth more.

RB Tracks can still be found on the shelves here.  It used to be a very popular item, but no one seems to care about it now.
