Hey guys. I just got home and while i was out I found the newest starwars TF's Luke Skywalker.

His alt mode is an X-wing fighter of classic Star Wars movie fame.

Transformation

transformation is fairly simple. The nose section of the X-wing turns in to the for the bot mode by separateing down the middle flipping up the rear pannels below the Nosecone pit, and rotateing the ankles 180 degrees.  To get his arms out you separte the wings(ie lock spoliers in attack position) You then slide the bottem wing down and rotateing it 90 degrees, and pull out the hands. As for the top wings they simplely fold, and are held together by a peg.  The head is exposed via opening the chest and flipping it out.

 

accesories

He comes with 1 blue lightsaber that is attachable to the bottem of the altmode. 1 tiny littel Luke Skywalker to eather ride in the cockpit in x-wing mode, or the chest in the bot mode.  He also has 4 removeable guns with fireable missles.

 

Pros

He turns in to on my all time favorite SW vehicals an X-wing fighter. It is highly detailed makeing for a great alt mode.  He has awsome ammount of detail on his robot mode head, and it deffently looks like a robotized Luke Skywalker.

 

Con's

His legs and arms are both rather thin and wimpy looking. He also is a little bit loose so far as his upper half. While the instructions dont really clearly say what to do with them.  I had to rearrange the rear articulated stablezer rockets to help stableize his arms.  Also I'ev had trouble keeping the guns on while playing with him

 

personal thoughts

He's isnt the best SW tf so far, thats still vader IMO. However all of sw tf's need a little help somewhere, no TF is perfect after all. However the fun factor is great behinde this figure. He would probabley make a good femme bot with a redeco, the way the legs open it up it looks like he has a skirt on. Another great touch that I like is the openable chest would make a great place for a matrix. I guess what I'm saying is that he is a kitbashers gem.

I agree.

I'ev always thought that more of a g1 seeker, or g1 jetfire style transformation would have suted the X-wing better.

I'ev been messing with him sence i made this review topic a few hours ago.

 

He would deffinly be better and a she (femmebot) he's got the legs, and arms for it.

Also they really should have made the lower wings (that become shoulderd in bot mode)

hinged so it wouldnt look so big, top heavy and dispropotionate.

 

oh well so far however from what I have seen these guys(WS TF's) are going great the walmart I work at sold out of the first wave in a few weeks. *shrugs* whatever make's them money I suppose

I think the legs and arms would be fine if they werent trying to make them "orange mark hamil crack addict legs"

 

I mean regular robot legs behind the panesl would be fine.....

 

I also thinkthat the kibble should have been distributed better....

 

I am thinking that the transform could have been very close to E-Megatron and been really good!

or the original seekers or jetfire maybe
