I was thinking about it, and what's going to be the next step in the TF franchise over in Japan?

 

Galaxy Force is done... Usually, they would start working on the next series and toyline, but the next Hasbro line will be the "G1 Redux" thing for between Cybertron and the movie... but seeing as how the Japanese market is usually a few months or more ahead of the US market, and since Beast Wars, the shows and toys have been Japanese made, and changed after the fact for the US market.  But now, with the next line being predominantly US based in origin... will the Japanese market be put on hold until we catch up over here, or will they get thier own "filler" line?  And will there be another Japanese show, or will they wait for our next offering?

 

Especially with the recent TOMY merger, this could all get wierd on us.  Anybody have any concrete knowledge on this subject?  Speculation is fine too, but please label it as such so nobody gets excited over nothing...  :redface

At BotCon, Hasbro said that Takara was going to take a "break" from TFs, so I guess they'd have nothing major until the movie.

Hmm... cuts down on the import spending for a while, I guess. 

 

Maybe they'll do more reissues in the interim then... :schin

yes, Tak/Has will have a break after movie. so, before that we can collect TFC21 and e-hobby. new series will be after 2007 i think.

a break would be nice, give me a little time to catch up with everything.

G1 Redux... straight into a G1-inspired movie... And nothing from Japan worth mentioning... Not my cup of tea I have to say, but as long as it looks nice I suppose I'll survive  :tftongue

thats good, at least now I can collect Cybertron Soundwave, Galvatron, Optimus Prime, and kign size Starscream

this time i'll save money and buy sonic convoy.who knows about the price?

Sonic Convoy EX-02 sold for 9,000 Yen in Japan At Toys R Us.  That's about $85 US.  A Sonic Convoy for less than $150 including shipping is good bargain.
