I have Rodimus and I'm getting Starscream on Friday. If I happen to come across another $10 what deluxe figure should I get next? I kind of want to get Inferno or Prowl... Then again, I found STD Convoy for $2.30 at Shoppertron, is that a fake?

Just from pics, I honestly wouldn't recommend STD Convoy as your first figure for PLing. He makes a decent torso, but his legs are absolutely horrid. He'd be okay to give a whirl later on, I suppose, but not as a judge of the PL gimmick.

 

If you want to play it safe, I'd suggest Inferno. He probably looks the best overall combined with Rodimus (well, using his normal leg mode looks kinda iffy, but it looks great if you turn him backwards for the G1 Ironhide window chest look), and is a very good figure (although visually somewhat bland) on his own.

 

However, as I mentioned in your other thread, I'm kinda biased towards Hot Shot. I personally believe that Hot Shot's torso mode complements Rodimus' leg mode the best so far.

well, since downshift and towline aren't out yet, I would probably go with Inferno. He looks good in either mode(shirt or pants) and is a good figure on his own.

inferno is a good bot all around. but looks best as a shirt. with the back mounted cannons, looks very cool imo.
