Thoughts on Galaxy Force TV series

Recommended Posts

well i've got some commentary but I know you guys are thinking the same thing. Too much of the series was spent on Speedia. From the sheer fact that we lost valuble story space to a multi episode race. I'd like to have seen more of the universe that is.

Thats all I've got to say thats negative.

I think Gonzo's digimation studio though also felt constrained by the fact that this was a 50+ episode series and not an OAV. So there were quality control issues with the animation (parts passing through one another) but thats just me being a Graphics nerd.

Series was good. I like pie.

That's about all I can add, everyone else has said everything.

Man. I'm still waiting for new episodes on Kids WB for Cybertron. :redface I can't believe I'm that interested in seeing how things go! Reading these little tidbits keeps my appetite whet for more!

or a basic....

cause he does have that long ol' pole, right?

I would totally dig a Traffic light  TF! I'd put him with my Alts!

That would be great! I'd do the same! :lol You listening Hastak?!? :lol

They only show episodes 1-26 and then it goes onto Cartoon Network January 4th

at 6 freakin' am, unless your in the central time zone it will be on at 5 FREAKIN" AM!!!!!! :tfmad

Of course those on the west coast are 3 hours behind the east coast so they`ll be seein git at 3:00am :tflaugh ! I`m on the east coast but I work nights so since I don`t get off until 6:30 I`ll be setting my DVR from Comcast for it  :tfgrin . Gotta love that DVR! :clap Yeah Hasbro I`d love to have a trffic light TF! (hey they`ve listened to me before so hopefully now too)

I work graveyard shifts at a bar on weekends, so when i get home from work i'm there just in time to watch tfc :)

Since it was never shown here and never will be, then I know little about it.  What was it like and what exactly happened in it?

taz.gif-bot that! :rofl That's how I'll be watching it!

And wasn't there a pay-phone 'bot at one or two points in the series? :tfhuh I'd give my left testicle :lol Joke there...> to have the phone-'bot as a toy! Would look great with my mini Halo figures!

It was on this morning on CN... episode was Detour!

Galaxy force has given me a more vicious Megatron/Galvatron and finally a far better Optimus Prime that the Gen 1 version.... (Yes I went there!)

I just wish they would have done more with Planet X and starscream...

But whatever,  it was a good show nevertheless.

I was pretty pleased overall.

It was much better than energon/superlink and alough I thought armada got quite interesting towards the end gf easily eclipsed it too.

I guess like other people have remarked, we got an exceptional toy line this time around, with armada and energon it was a case of a few good toys vs a majority of lame ones but that situation has become quite the opposite, there are very few gf/cybertron toys I wouldnt consider buying.

Megatron was pretty kickass, I like the way power was portrayed as a product of anger or love in the realms of good and bad respectively. Seeing megatron/galvatron access new levels of raw power through sheer fury was pretty cool.

Starscream was kinda cool but a little dissapointing to me because he became huge and powerful but still got whupped quite easily on most occasions.

It was refreshing to have a prime who was capable of actually winning fights and generally kicking ass. And he actually looked like a prime whilst still having a little creative freedom on his looks, proof you can be adventurous with a character design without making them look like some weird fish monster with gills (armada prime) or pregnant (energon).

I found the kids much less annoying than in armada too which can only be a positive thing.

Some characters deserved a little more exploration and the usual shortfalls of having a budget apply (repetitive transformation and special move footage) but i think it's forgiveable in light of the pretty high standard of art and animation.

And lastly and perhaps most importantly.

OMFG eye needz a signal lancer!!!!!!!

please make the toy

please please please!!!!!

Well, it was a good run. It was nice to see a solid ending for the series...I would say that this was easily the best TF series since the Beast Era.

As some have already mentioned, it was also nice to see some of the relationships that were developed come to fruition and not left to ambiguity. It sort of reminded me of Robotech/Macross.

Even though the final battles were already fought in previous episodes, this one really gave the show a great sendoff.
