its what we get for cookie cutter animation. Gonzo does great stuff but in OAV format. full series animation like Galaxy Force calls for some cut backs. damage control and fight styling takes a lot of effort and rendering power that they can't risk for deadlines.

also, it probably wasn't Gonzo's idea to use CGI in the first place. i think it was Hasbro who told them to use CGI.

What part of the concept you're a idiot don't you get? The last 4 transformers series came from Japan... not from the US. Takara probably wanted Galaxy Force CGI... hasbro only has a license to manufacture the toys for the American market... not the other way around!

Hasbro had  no real say in the show concept other than the dubbed version!

The last real Hasbro based show to come out was Beast Machines, IMO it was the worst piece of garbage I'd seen since Reboot!

An the toyline from that series- don't get me started on that crap!

The only thing that show did do... is tye(spelling?) in the two Japanese Beast Wars shows to the original...

Other Maximal ships sent out from Cybertron!

I would've been happy if Galaxy Force was an OVA wrap up for Energon and Armada, sort of like Gundam Wing Endless Waltz, that way they'd have a bigger budget for better things. But we all know takara and hasbro would never venture down that path.

Hasbro had a big hand in the last three series, the last Takara only show was Car Robots

Can you read? Xbob just said that Car Robots was the only one Takara had complete control in. Super Fire Convoy was in Car Robots

ok, it's obvious that you don't know squat about how Hasbro and Takara's partnership opperates.

Beast Machines wasnt that bad, its having the aqquired taste for it. Armada, Energon, and Cybertron series ARE garbage. If they put out another continuation after Cybertron, my TF interest is completly lost.

I doubt that Gonzo did not like to add CG to Galaxy Force since they've already done another anime with CG mecha: VanDread

As for the active camera angles in fights, it can only be made economically feasible if the fights were made either in space or as aerial combat.  Doing that for a ground battle is an animator's CG/cel alignment deadline nightmare.
