Does and don'ts of TF storage

Recommended Posts

6:  DON'T place them in haphazard display, especially if you have a cat that has a fondness for giving you a heart attack by weaving in and out of the TF's on the highest shelves - Imagine an MP Prime in robot mode on a high shelf being knocked by a cat, kitty fur rug not long after

I prefer the haphazard displays, but I don't have any indoor pets.

Ha a great topic, I agree w/ all the comments.

Do, do all the things that Smokescreened recommends, plus the sunscreen thing from WRX-78 and the playschool/distractors thing from Dufftrix (I have some Constructicon KOs to distract my nephew), all great suggestions.

I will add one, "Do make sure to get them out from time to time and just play w/ your toys, that is what they are for after all." Gotta make sure to avoid disuse, don't want your figures just wasting away. This is key to proper storage.

The first rule of being a TF collector is making sure you have enough money.

The SECOND rule of being a TF collector is making sure you have enough money!

Wear sunscreen.

Transform one thing everyday that scares you.

Be kind to your TF's knee joints, you’ll miss them when they’re gone.

Read the directions, even if you don’t follow them.

Accept certain inalienable truths, prices will rise, Hasbro will recolor, you too will get old, and when you do you’ll fantasize that when you were young prices were reasonable, Savage was noble and children respected their elders.

But trust me on the sunscreen…

:rofl

Don't stack the boxes up too high.

Another one, DO be creative with your display and DO store the boxes away carefully.  DON'T keep too many boxes and packaging stored away, keep what's useful and throw away what's useless.  After all, if you can squeeze mini cons, small TF's and a couple of deluxe TF's in with a bigger TF like Unicron, then do it.  It saves space and doesn't cause boxes full of TF packaging to fall on top of you.

don't ley your friends fiddle with your TF's unless they are CURRENT Transfans.

Them shouting 'Oh hey I had that casette player guy' does not qualify them

to handle Masterpiece Convoy.

Don't stack the boxes up too high.

It's going to come down any day now.....

can't stress enought to keep your tf weapons in plastic baggies.

I'm thinking of making tiny weapon racks for the TF weapons one of these days, saves them being tucked into a corner in the display unit.

Oh yes, that is a great one.

I have to go through all mine and label the ones that I am not using. Fortunately, robotmonstertoys.com and wheeljackslab.com both have all the figures pictured w/ their specific weapons, otherwise I would be screwed.
