Though in the toon they're pretty much the same guy in 2 colors, since they both end up with the same powers.

In the toon Rumble was teh purple, but i digress....

Sunbow made a mistake and decided to just stick with it. The show's bible also has Rumble Red/Frenzy Blue.

See, here's where things get messy.  Because if you're comparing the toy specs to the TV series...

then you have every right to do so because the G1 cartoon is the only fiction ever that refers to the blue and purple cassette as Rumble.

Hey, I'm not one to get all up in arms over the whole RIBFIR debate, I was just making an observation :P.  If you're going to apply the tech specs to the show, then you're going to have to make the decision of which one's which.
