I'd say it's quite likely.......  guarantee, no. Just wait a few months and the BTA one will be on clearance.

Apparently QC returned with Skids.  (Don't have mine yet - thanks a bunch HLJ)  so, lets hope so.

 

I hope we see new pics soon......  prefferably ones where the bot mode doesen't look like what we saw earlier on.

Well there's Sunstreaker. So why not Scourge?

During G1 times, Scourge was a space Hovercraft. Not a Prime Repaint. *wonders if Hasbro remembers that?* They didn't remember that Buzzsaw was from G1 and not BW.

 

Also wanted to add that Hasbro has been adding new head molds to their bots. If they do make a Black truck, Maybe it will have a new face instead of like Takara's lazy BTA line.

Sunstreaker was an aberration. I was just wondering if they'll release a US version of Black Convoy here, and if they'd call him "Scourge" or "Nemesis Prime" or even "Motormaster". Come to think of it, they haven't released or announced any straight repaints in the Alternators line, have they? I mean, aside from Sunstreaker.

Ok a black repaint of Prime in the BTA series, I can live with that, now i just need some reprolable decepticon stickers and the proper head and the stunticons will have Motormaster.

 

As for the Ginrai repaint, I hope this gets atleast a redone head.  We dont need two primes running around in the BT/Alt line.

Kids mostly wont know any better. Adult buyers wont for the most part care.

Now that i think about it.....  Hasbro may be looking to make Alt Prime available for a little longer since he's the leader.  Being a larger toy at the same price may help sales too....

 

All of a sudden a repaint seems at least a good while away.
