Clear car brothers

Recommended Posts

Just picked up the clear car brothers set this is my first RiD figure so i thought id make it something neat.  I ended up paying $66 usd for the set of three and was wondering if i wasted my cash or did i score an ok deal? Ive read that these were a osaka toyfair exclusive and eleseware that these were a jap botcon exclusive. What are your thoughts.

Waste of money - you can get the clear Car Brothers by scraping off the paint of the RID versions.

It never made any sense to me that when the factory saves itself time and money by not putting the paint on a toy would equate to them being able to charge the customer/fan 3 times the price of the painted version.

Anything exclusive is fun to have (Botcon, Lucky Draw, prototypes), assuming you pay a good price for it.

I am not sure if $66 is great, but it seems good for 3 exclusive Japanese figures that are pretty cool figures w/o even being exclusives.

I say good find.

I'm not sure about price values but i really like that box art, in fact I just finished putting my RiD Autobot brothers into those poses, well as close I can without them falling down. If only it was in colour...

just checking around bbts has them for $140 usd so im not feeling toobad about paying that much

for the price ive seen id say you got a gr8 deal

Yeah, great deal!

I've seen them go for $200 on Ebay.

And what Satanstorm said isn't true. The RID Car Brothers were made with smokey clear plastic and would end up looking alot different than these.

Well, have fun with 'em!

Sounds like a good deal to me Dude!

Your first RID figures? Pick up Rail-Racer & Scourge, you won't be disappointed!  :thumb
