NOT EVERYONE HAS THE SAME TOYS YOU DO

I don't believe takara is wasting time in reissuing a toy i already have.  I just wished they were easier to obtain.

I agree, to me a reissue is o.k. If I would have missed out on Alt Tracks the first time around, I'd be all over him right now. Am I upset that he's being re-issued? Do I feel that my "original release" version is know worthless? Of course not! If I REALLY liked the mold, I'd probably buy the re-issue too. Hey, to each his (her) own.

i hate it when some fans say negative things about a tf reissue just because they already have a vintage version of the same toy. you're allowed to hate a reissue but don't get all bitchy because Takara is "wasting their time" by reissueing a toy you already have. NOT EVERYONE HAS CAN AFFORD A VINTAGE TF. and some people(like me) prefer their tf's to be brand new.

hornet, your anger is half the reason i keep coming back to this bored, lol!

overall, to each their own and that being said. This bord has like what, 100 some regular posters in a week and of those all are uber geeky fan boys about one thing or another.

as for me, i love the reissues, just not the price :tdown They make for great in box toys since 90% of the g1's are 200+ in price in box :(

Are you on crack? How can they be any easier to obtain? EVERY on line store carries them and with every form of payment out there how could they be not easy to obtain?

Reissues are easier to get than originals.

Spencer.

I only collect originals, and I say keep the reissues coming. It drops the price on the originals I don't have yet. I don't give a damn about how rare my Transformers are. I just want a complete collection.

Old or new, they're still bricks. :tftongue

To me, a reissue is just another knock-off. An overpriced KO. I guess they are cool if you don't open stuff, but at least %60 of the reissues can be obtained as loose originals for only a couple of dollars more, or often even less than the reissue. Without Buzzsaw, you can get an orignal Soundwave for less than $25 with a little legwork.

I loved when the reissue Hot Rod's came out. TM Hot Rod used to be around $260. I got mine for $45.

I know you meant that in jest, but I still find it amusing.

Inevitable Forum Poster: It's a brick.

Of course it's a brick. It's G1. The toyline was founded on masonry. It's the equivalent of saying 'water is wet'. We know this. It's not an insult. You can't insult that toy era when uber cool articulation hasn't even been perfected yet. Let classics be.
