Sweet art. :tfgrin

It just screams "Like the phoenix, I have risen form the ashes!"

I had one years ago. Lost him.

Not brick. Chunky/Clunky is more like it. He's got poseability but the pure blockiness of him makes one still think 'brick' in the back of your mine.

Box art doesnt change the bricktastic figure

Galvatron is not a brick, and is in fact one of the most poseable toys in G1.  (And that is not damning with faint praise.  I think only he loses to Jetfire for not being able to turn his head.)

He's got universal shoulder movement, elbows, waist rotation, hips, knees, and toes.

:pfx

I think I still like the original toy better. If they're going to make a show-accurate figure, the appeal of that figure is dependent upon how successfully they "show-accurate'd" it IMO. And I don't think they went far enough at all. So every time I look at it, I'd be like "man, I wish they'd done X Y and Z". I'd rather be content with something that isn't just trying to emulate something else (something which looks better IMO).

Got the original.  No sense spending money on this one.  I wish they would make a poster out of the boxart galvatron though.

I'm game for this anime version.

I think this figure is great. If you buy a G1 figure of course its going to be brickish. They all are in one way or another. Quit Starscreaming about brickyness on G1. These reissues are for nostalgia, not poseability

Just thought the point needed reinforcing. Especially when we're talking about one of the most articulated G1 figures there is.

Cool, a posable brick! Wish I coulda afforded him as a kid. He woulda been my favorite.

Why is he covered in guldjaculate?

PLASMA'D

I'm still not sold on the color. After all, you're paying for the figure inside the box, not the one drawn on the outside of it.

I dont get it....

how do you sell a toy by showing a picture of it covered in mud???

by the way - i agree with LMH that they really did a half assed job of Making it "accurate".

I mean if you are going for the G1-goodness then go for it.

But if you expect some kinda improvement - then i think you will be sorely dissapointed.

It's supposed to be Galvatron emerging from the plasma on that asteroid thing in "Five Faces of Darkness". But it looks a bit goopy. Particularly distasteful IMO is the goo dripping out of his cannon...

yeah
