you know i think thiers some truth to this they pick a charactor they like and just change a mold to fit the new head

Yep, its Armada Screamer...when I took the pic, I just happened to have his head ready and removed from his body.  Its for my next Alternator custom. 

 

So is the Hotshot custom...but I'm not using the jamtastic head...I'm gonna try to use the Powerlinx Hotshot...

Funny this may be however, I think it's got some truth in it lol. And why they always choose to use shelf warmers as the repaints in beyond me. LIke another wrx? they sat on shelves forever, and some stores STILL have them. 

Lazerbeak would be interesting. His name isnt thrown around alot like some obvious ones. But i cant think of any cars that have bird names, only mammals and lizards

Actually the Hotshot would be an interesting change. I guess the Tracks Mold would have to be yellow again,

My guess for one reason why a certain mold is used more often than others is because it's probably easier for Hasbro/Takara to get approval by the car company.  I'm sure they need approval for each paint and repaint.  Reading the BT book interview on design process of BTs, seems like it was easy to get the WRX license so then probably easy to ask for repaint approval.
