Crystal G1 Jazz / Meister

yep. official items, there are clear versions of ALL the re-issues. They're just never produced clear like that for distrubution to the public

It is stolen though, as cool as the jazz is, I wouldn't recommend supporting a theif (even if the seller didn't swipe it, someone did)

but then again, it could be a fake. It's not hard to get some rubber molding material and clear plastics to make one. I'm sure if you paid Ken at transrepro enough cash, he could custom makes all the clear parts needed to put one together :P

No offense...You have no clue about these toys.  Please do not state false information unless you have facts.  I have been a collector for a long time, have many contacts, and know alot about the toys in my collection.  These are not stolen goods, for starters. And if you have a problem please contact me directly instead of spreading false info and trying to make someone look bad.

Its funny how people comment on something they see, but really don't know anything about it.

would you like to comment on which part of my post was incorrect?

"These are not stolen goods"

you have proof of this? I would love to see it :)

"Please do not state false information unless you have facts." yeah, I'll get right on posting that factual false information lol :P

I'm also curious as to why the rear end of the car lines up with the doors, if it IS a bookstyle re-issue mold, the rear end should be lower as with all of the takara meister reissues, but im sure you already knew that. Unless of course its made from the remold hasbro fixed up, in that case i'm just going to call fraud on the entire auction.

please correct any false information I have, I'd love to have more info on this sucker if I could :)

so you are saying when I have some facts, THEN i can post false information?  :tflaugh

Well you did say "It is stolen though" which is a statement of fact from you, of which you cannot possibly have the relevant information to make such a statement, especially as it flys in the face of HasTaks official stance on the matter as clarified by Aaron Archer, hence by definition it is incorrect and the proof comes from the mouth of AA.  As I said there are libel implications if anyone wants to get really snippy.  I do think Timusbrew was a little short with you though, but he had a point, you did make certain statements presented as fact through your use of language, if the statement in question was represented as your opinion it would be a different matter.  Just my 2 cents

Oh and there is more to these toys than meets the eye ;)

Adding in your edit

i'm just going to call fraud on the entire auction.

Why?

[rant] and why start flaming? I personally have more information on this and others (it was via my intervention that the transtech stuff came out) but Im somewhat disinclined to go into specifics for just this kind of response, its just argumentative and doesnt happen in other toy areas (I.E Star Wars) Other toy lines celebrate such things as a part of the history but somehow transformers always goes to the purile and ends up with the old "stolen" stick DESPITE all official statements from the companys concerned stating the opposite [/rant]

But anyway, I think all should just calm down, we are all fans of toys and their variants, proto collectors just have their buttons like everyone else ;)

If anyone wants to see more check out here, the links to the larger pictures seem to be broken though http://www.transformertoys.co.uk/toygaller...roup.php?id=188

The internets said it was stolen.

ok, I'll admit, I cannot prove the test shot is stolen. But I can speculate, and give word of caution to others.

with what evidence? well again. Look at the mold. the original bookstyle re-issue meister wasn't fixed to have the rear end aligned with the doors. that was only apparent on the hasbro version. though he clearly labels the auction as a takara bookstyle item. Either he is lying, or he doesn't know what he's talking about.

now im not here to cause problems or flame anyone. I just have a big deal about stolen items, I don't support it, I don't recommend anyone else supporting it, but if you guys have evidence that this ISN'T stolen, again I would love to hear it, and I'll stop speculating :)

but untill then, the item is the auction is either stolen, or its a fake.

"'m just going to call fraud on the entire auction.

*

Why?"

uh.. yeah, please don't quote me and take things out of context, that's how arguments start :P and we don't want that :)

what I said, was "Unless of course its made from the remold hasbro fixed up, in that case i'm just going to call fraud on the entire auction."

meaning, IF the item in the auction is made from the fixed up hasbro release re-issue mold, then timus here is either lying, or doesn't know what he's talking about. thus the reason I would call the auction fraud (if it were true)

but that was only speculation on that part :) no need to accuse me of flaming

"But anyway, I think all should just calm down, we are all fans of toys and their variants, proto collectors just have their buttons like everyone else"

very true bud!! we're all fans of the same things. I love this clear jazz!! I think its awesome. if I had the money, and the seller could provide proof it wasn't stolen, I'd pick it up! I just have very strong morals again theft, and I wasn't claiming the seller stole it either. Unless I'm wrong, I'm pretty certain hasbro reps said many times, that they don't sell/give away/hand out these test shots on any occasion for many reasons, one being safety issues. We all know the big boys at hasbro are doing what they can to stop the flow of test shots being stolen (removed without permission) although efforts havn't been all that succesful, for reasons you have made clear (can't prove it with solid evidence) but theft is theft. and in most society's, theft is frowned upon.

Im trying to play devils advocate as this was getting a bit silly, I was trying as I ahve with other stuff, to bring some of the more unique aspects of TF history to the attention of fans

Will just say that in our justice system (UK, USA and Canada to say the least) it is innocent untill proven guilty, it is not for anyone to have to prove they are innocent as laid down by that one basic premise. As we have this important aspect of law laid down and AA himself said they are not stolen should be enough to put this "theft" crap to bed.

Morals are a wonderful and important thing to have in our lives, especially in this day and age but to cast them up at people without being in control of the facts or being in possesion of proof and in the face of Hasbros offical position, can be dangerous and insulting. Off topic example, say you are a low income family in a low income area who works damn hard for years to save up and buy yourself a really nice flash car, are your neighbours right to say you got that via the proceeds of crime because it appears to outstrip your available income and your environment adheres to sociological stereotypes?

If you had worded your statement in such a way that it seemed to reflect your opinion as opposed to a statement of fact there would not have been an issue with Timusbrew at all Im sure. No one regardless of their opinions, can stop you from voicing your own opinion, I may not agree with what you say but I defend your right to say it ;) It all comes down to how it was phrased, simple as that. I ahve studied enough law and the english language to know just how damning and damaging words are.

Its all cool but you and Timusbrew were starting down a slippery slope to say the least and it is quite pointless, I burns me that I could give more detail but the information is not mine to give, whether or not I agree with the apparant "secrets" that surround TFs, I will not break my word to people.  Suffice to say Takara internals are a funny thing to say the least and is run akin to a secret society in some respects while Hasbro internals is more like a boys club and its a case of do what I say not what I do, if Hastak called theft and then some of the sources were revealed, well it would be red faces all round.  Im afraid I will have to leave it at that, but regardless of how some test shots leave the factory these clear (and metallised) toys are not in the same category. Some test shots of production items leave via "unauthorised" means but the really cool stuff comes via internal means (and not from the hands of chinese factory workers)

This is from an internal Takara source, Takara and Hasbro do factory share, it is far too expensive for anyone to duplicate this item on a small scale to this quality (you really do need to see these in person to appreciate them) If someone had a entire Jazz/meister set of molds we would see many a knock-off flooding out of the east.

There is some information on this stuff out there and some of what little there is, is even true ;)

Man, I hate the internet for just this reason, you voiced your opinion (as you are entitled to do) but the way in which you did it was wrong (grammatically) Timusbrew got snippy and things degenerate. But anyway ...zzzzz I hope we can discus these fascinating and beautiful pieces without casting aspersions on anyones integrity.  I am trying to pull some unseen stuff into the open to make this niche in the fandom a little more accessable, akin to Star Wars fandom, but if each time something cool crops up it degenerates into a "stolen" argument or something equally debate stiffling and foolish, it doesnt seem worth it :( Robert was amazed when some of the transtech threads degenerated in a similar fashion (Allspark and Seibertron)

But anyway, lets leave this debate dead and buried and get back to some cool toys ;)

"lets leave this debate dead and buried and get back to some cool toys"

sounds good to me! it was wrong of me to start arguing in the first place, even if it was stolen (which no one can prove) its still not right to judge someone and call them a theif.

IIRC, this isn't the first time a clear TFC toy showed up on eBay. I can't remember if the other one was Meister or not tho.
