"November 7th 2005: Correction: A product preview page for a "Red alert" toy has been discovered at Hasbro's official website - as an Acura RSX. In fact, this is merely an unfinished placeholder page for Prowl, probably under the original working name. The product code number (81318) is the same one as for Prowl from the old assortment, who so far didn't have a product preview page on Hasbro's website (the preview page for Prowl from the new assortment, with the product code number 81330, can be found here). "

I'm pretty sure Archer said no Red alert period.  Maybe he said no Subaru

I think if this was due they would've let it be known at Botcon..  Being a newer mold than the Jeep and Subaru, and a less obscure character than

Rollbar and Ricochet, it would probably stand to be more popular than those items.......

 

So on that basis, I'd say this is an error.

 

 

However If this *IS* Red alert....

 

So long as they give it the CORRECT head sculpt and don't just repaint the head from Prowl, I'm happy.

not hard to redo a head; they've got Sideswipe overstocks out to yingyang. PROBLEM SOLVED!

I wonder how this will pan out. Seeing something on the official site, that may not be real, is worse torture than seeing my sig day in and day out.

No. With out any hacking, I just went to hasbro's site, clicked show toys, hit Alternators toys and pressto http://www.hasbro.com/transformers/default...ame&viewall=yes Red alert is right there. There are 2 Tracks listed, New packaging and old. This Red alert is a big screw up.
