Recently I got the name of an online store in Belgium from another TFans member. Archonia.com Seeing how I live in The Netherlands this store is a great find.

 

They only sell Japanese Transformers (and lots of other Manga related items) so sadly no US Transformers which are generally cheaper.

 

Last week I purchased GF Soudwave there and today I pre-ordered GF Primus and reissue Blaster.

 

They are reasonably priced though I would probably pay a little less if I bought my stuff from a US site souch as JRSToyworld and purchased the US version. Especially with Soundwave (48 Euro) and Primus (88 Euro) this may cost me a bit more.

 

But the advantages are:

 

1 No more importfees and the really long wait for customs to process a package. (2-3 weeks is nothing.)

2 The shipping is faster as after the item is shipped I have it one day (a week after ordering and paying for it) though that varies per country.

3 One gets the (often better) Japanese version.

4 One does not have to hunt for the item which can be very time consuming and costly. Especially for people who have to use eBay to get certain figures. And of course one could be scammed on eBay. (Though it has rarely happed to me.)

 

 

So even with the slightly higer costs at times I do prefer such stores simply because it is so darn nice to order something and have it next week without having to worry about customs or even being able to find it.

That sound like a good decision to me.  You are paying a slightly higher price

but you are getting your orders faster and with no customs.  I would

probably do the same thing in your situation.

It is a really cool site indeed and I am happy to have found it.

 

Spent today waiting in vain for a parcel which is really annoying and is affecting my overall mood. Partially I understand the need for the customs service but one would think they would let the recepiant know they have his parcel.

 

But once I get an email from Archonia (probably tomorrow) I know Soundwave is on his way. So that one will probably make my weekend. That and that I may finally be able to score Enterprise seasons 2 and 3 on DVD.  :thumb
