Yeah, plural. The only reason it's "robot" is that Japanese doesn't have a plural system.

edit- which I just realised you are more than familiar with. Damn stupid university first-years making me always explain Japanese... :redface

Haha it's okay no problem.

My wife and I started actually translating episode 1 last night.

Just a side note: if anyone has copies of the Car Robot Episode 1 AVI file that was released a few years ago by Lioconvoy2k (not to be rude or anything) but they're not really accurate. What he put sounds good if you were gonna do a dub of the show... but it's not really a translation  :tfevil Some of it is guessing too. LOL!!

Nice try though!

Just a quick update: Episode 2 is done... going to try and get work on ep 3 today. I've noticed some huge differences also between CR and RiD. Fox really butchered this series.

I'm getting really excited by this.  I'm going to wait for the entire series to be done before I watch em.

If you do the fansub keep it the original concept of the show, don't try to americanize it...  usually in both series they said "Transform"....

To me, I'll wait for TVnihon to subtitle Car Robots and Micron Legend.

Plus not all of the Sentai said Henshin! Hurranger(Ninjastorm) Said Shinobi Change!

Have you decided on the method you are going to use to release the episodes yet?

Yeah we're going to stay as close as we can and not modify the dialogue too much unless it makes no sense to who's watching it. I haven't encountered too many problems yet though...

I have great respect for TVNihon for doing all the transformers stuff thus far :) We wouldn't be able to see 1/2 transformers stuff subbed if it wasn't for them.

Yeah I was hoping to do a DVD release of it since I have the originals. I'm not a huge fan of DivX stuff unless it's captured off TV. I know some people will want to have a divx release...so i'll see what i can do about that. But from the begining i wanted a release that was the highest quality possible for everyone.

As far as keeping it close to the original, I am doing that. Henshin will remain as is for the command code for transforming for the Destrongers. I'm glad that my friend who supplied the discs to me also has told me the names of the attacks used since it is sometimes hard to hear them.

Things such as Right/Left/Center Maser (not Laser)

And weird ones like Trans Faust and Jack Battler.

Just to let everyone know. I'm on Episode 4 now so Disc 1 is almost complete.  :clap I'd really like to have something out by the end of this week if possible but being a parent and all sometimes things just pop up when you least expect them ^_^

So they are using microwave weapons? Cool.
