I'm looking for some background on this guy. I mainly collect just Optimus and Megatron, and yet I've never even heard of this thing. Is it legit?I've dealt with the seller before, and he's a good bloke.

So, has anyone seen this before? If so, what's his deal?

it's not so much "g2" as it is "oversized Bootleg" but potato patato

It comes with the G2 soundbox, or so it appears. Yeah, my first thought was bootleg, but this guy doesn't make a habit of selling bootlegs. Plus, it has a variety of trademarks on the box....... :schin

Damn, I wish I could read Korean. It's irritating when being able to read Japanese and Chinese isn't good enough to collect my toy robots :redface

gatta be a KO

I remember seeing this before and I was told its some special Korean Edition

Guess we'll have to wait for experts to confirm

This is a Korean Version.  You can buy it for about $80.  I have seen this up close.  It is a nice variant Prime but not worth $300.  That is insane.  But I guess its called supply and demand.

While I am not sure about this particular piece, "(Asian) Variant" is usually a nice way to say Bootleg.

Yes this is the Korean version.  I have seen this at my local toy shop. The actual toy of Prime is bigger in size and is made of cheap plastic instead of metal. Honestly I don't know if its worth 300$. :tflaugh1

is made of cheap plastic instead of metal

PM Prime was plastic anyway Dude!

What about Korean Brave Maximus? Does that fall into the same cat. as this?

This isn't PM Prime; G2 Prime was a simple reissue of G1 Prime with a different colored trailer.

And anytime you see a version of a figure that's either larger or smaller than the original....

P.S. Korean Brave Maximus was an official Takara product and is only less collectible than the Japanese version b/c it's more readily available.
