Are you prone to jumping to conclusions?

I wish my income would keep on coming just like the transformers.

I also agree. Damn the limitations of income.

i dont jump to conclusions, i am pretty much excited about all protos, ect that show up..  I LOVE TRANSFORMERS

I really try not to jump the gun on most stuff I see; after all, i'm an artist myself, and I know what it's like to have a WIP be judged when you're still trying to get it all 'set in." But once in a while, i'll see something that just doesn't look like it has a hope in hell, or looks just completely awful. So, i'll OCCASIONALLY make a static judgement. but most often, i really try not to.

I usually jump to the conclusion that I'll probably change my mind about a mold when I see it in a store.

Might as well Jump! Go 'head and Jump!

I LOVE THE 80's

I jump to conclusions, then when the toy hits the stores I jump all over it. Final decisions aren't made til I have it in my hands and have transformed it. Then I can moan all I want. Like the Vector Prime/Starscream 2 pack. I picked it up. I love Starscream mold, but hate the colors. I love the Vector Prime mold, but would have loved to see it with additional paint apps. So now that I shelled out the $35, I can complain without jumping to conclusions.

So what's my point? Does it have to do with Van Halen and the 80's?Not jumping to conclusions til you have the toy in hand? Or am I just complaining about the Vecor Prime/Starscream 2 Pack? Yeah, I guess my point is just to complain.

I normally don't jump to conclussions though I may have in the past. I recall a whaile back when the retooled Scoponok proto was released. I think I said there was no way in hell I'm buying one if all they indend to do is remold the tail and change the colour. Now I own one because it's simply awsome. :redface

Reguarding the alt protos I can honestly say I've been excited for everyone no matter how wonky the proto looks. Time and time again it's been proven that a proto is not the final product and could vastly improve before release. Alt Prowl was slammed hard universally from day one and only because Hasbro couldn't pose him properly. I am so glad I wasn't around for last years OMFG Miester has no windows scenario. :tflaugh

Lastly. Until the day where I actually own the transformer in question in hand will I judge it for what it is. Rarely if ever beforehand. :thumb

Also protos rock. Keep em coming. :clap

*pulls out his Jump to Conclusions mat*

:lol

I just got that. :stone

I suppose it's because very few people (or so's my impression) really ever change their minds after a toy comes out.  By the time the final product is in your hands, it's too late in the sense that the bulk of the investment costs have already been put into the concept, design, engineering, manufacture, production, and marketing.  Yes, in some ways it's "nicer" to behave that way, but waiting till the final product is out and restricting one's feedback to "Yay" or "Nay" with their buying power is highly uncommunicative.

If I was a toy manufacturer, I'd wanna know immediately if the bulk of my target market dislikes the product and why.  Even comments like, "Why didn't they make him Ironhide?  WHY??" can be informative if interpreted well.

As the poster of the Transtech images here's my take (at least from the image supplier point of view).  I agree with you that reading goes a long way but so does the knowledge of the toy creation process.  Just by reading various forums comments about the images I'm posting I'm seeing quite a few lack of knowledge about the toy creation comments.  Posters are jumping to conclusions about how a toy would look without realizing what they are viewing an image of.

Along with jumping to conclusions there's another old addage.  Never assume anything.  That way you don't .... well the readers  know the rest.

I agree with you don't jump to conclusions.  Quite often you'll make yourself look bad for all to read.  :thumb
