If "slag" is a curse-ish word in the TF universe...does saying Slag's (the dinobot) name constitute as cursing? Because that would really suck for him. Would that be like naming your child "F*ck"?

Well i assume it was a coincidence.....  but if you think about Slag's personality........  he is a F*cker isn't he?  :tfgrin

The beast era word "slag" equates more with the english colloquial usage of the word "hell". It what happens when you melt a bot down, you're left with a pile of burnt out slag.

 

 

 

G1 Slag was named that because his breath in dinomode reduced his enemies to the aforementioned piles of burnt out slag. He was named after what he created.

i thought slag was the substance that was skimmed off the top of vats of liquid impurities at smelters.

I thought it meant "sh*t" ... at least the way Rhinox used it. Then again they did say "slagging" at times. Who knows.

i think it's kind of like the name dick. it is a name but it can be used as a bad word too

its like being welcomingly called Blothead and you and everyone else doesnt have a problem with it

I think that if The dinobots were human rednecks, slag would be named cooter.

me thinks it could mean any cuse word, like when they randomely say slag like when 1 side is loosing, coud mean damn, or its like i dont give a slag, could be Blot...looks like we've got ourselves a cussin thread
