Well, it's been a while since I came back from Hong Kong and I have yet to share with the world of my purchases. While I have 2 Transformers things coming back, I have to say, I am very impressed by Binaltech.

 

Now wait just a minute! Sure, this could explode into a BT vs. Alt dscussion, but just hear me out! Wheeljack is my first BT/Alt and probably my only one. All I have to say is wow. Wow.

 

From the interior design, beautiful Mustang mode to the robot mode, Wheeljack looks like an original. In my opinion, he puts Grimlock to shame. There's just nothing to deny him of this. All the reviews I have seen do not do him justice. Here's my "review" of what I think is the best Alt ever.

 

Car mode: Excellent! He looks just like a real thing! Flip him over and you still can't see any robot parts that look out of the ordinary. Most impressive!  :thumb

 

Transformation: Ok, people complain about this all the time, but personally, I really enjoyed transforming him. many consider this to be a long and tiresome process. It is most definately not! If you just keep it close to the instructions, you'll be just fine.  :thumb

 

Robot mode: Stunning. Absolutely stunning. This thing is the closest ting to perfection. No weak joints, chromed weapon, painted head and the "die-cast" parts make this all worth the price.  :thumb  :thumb

 

But instead of listening to me, why don't you have a look at the gallery instead and judge for yourself.  :wave

 

Wheeljack looks great... im jealous!  The only downside that I have heard of, or feel about the BTs are the price, and something about the paint chips easy.  Does it feel like you could chip the paint easily on yours?

Paint is not an issue! Even though it might be for other ones, Wheeljack has no paint difficulties at all! It's also alot of fun to play with too, because after all, he's this cool. Considering that BT/Alts were made for collectors, I am certainly out of that group in terms of age. I'm no adult, and this thing is as playable as your GF/Cybertron figures. It's a tad heavy, but it sure is fun to play with!

 

Price is an issue if you're not going to Hong Kong to buy it. I got it for about $34 american dollars (sorry, I'm in canada), so that was a really good price. But in terms of online stores, they can be real jerks when it comes to pricing. My local (and popular) shop has Wheeljack for about $91 Canadian, plus tax. Personally, I think it's worth it, but you might want to consider the options first. After all, I bought it because I loved this thing ever since it was announced. (Heh, wierd fact, but I wasn't even alive for any of the G1 series, but Wheeljack still rules in my opinion!)

oh ok, well that is really good news.   I just didn't know if the price (around $60us shipped) was worth it....  You changed my mind :)

The Mustang is one of the top molds, IMO.

I love the transformation on the Mustang mold.....  I just wish the  $%$ING  parts didn't keep falling off!
