Mutant Heads need to be removed from all BW Anniversary Toys.

Cool Rhinox though.

Well, all except Waspinator, whose show character model was the only one to use the mutant head instead of the robot head. :thumb

Yes, expect for Waspy.

..Expect?

In INH-style, it seems you have been TYPO'D!

Yes.....so it would seem.

And Blackarachnia/Tarantulus... I'm pretty sure BA used the 'bot head while Tarantulus used the mutant, but don't quote me on that.

No, the faction symbols spoil them from me... stamped so big in the beast mode they look lame, like marked cattle. It would've been cool to have small symbols only visible in robot mode, just as some characters had in the show.

They would be cool with new head molds, that would be a worthy 10th anniversary item!

doesn't it look like rhinox has 2 heads?

i mean u know those "ears"... well it looks like it's eXACTLY cut in half... so i WONDER what it looks like when those 2 "ears" are "closed up"!!!

i never owned the original rhinox toy, so if that was how his head was styled... then sorry for this post!

That's exactly how his head was styled.  Those ears close up to form a second "mutant"-style face.  The mutant faces were supposed to be their "battle masks," from what I understand, but were never used in the actual show.

Also, his head is NOT remolded, it's just received a better paintjob.

sertile - thanks for clearing that up!!!  in a sense, i wish they didn't do that, his head looks so small!!! and well, damn he looks like a SAMURAI w/ those ears! ;)

Yeah, the mutant head idea sucked pretty badly. I'm just glad the didn't use the mutant head for Tigatron. That would have been a really bad move. I do wish that they had remolded the heads for this release, but I'm still happy hasbro's going out of their way to give us these releases.

the flaps on his head can be pushed back further, right?  His head reminds me of RiD Megatron with them sticking out like that.

A little bit, but not much.  Not enough to mkae a difference in how good it looks... basically the mutant head gimmick design removes any possibility for show accuracy.  :redface

BTW, thanks for pointing out about Waspinator's mutant head... it never even crossed my mind to check what that looked like, I just always figured Mainframe got creative with Waspy.  Now I almost like my Fox Kids Waspinator!  ALMOST.  :tflaugh
