Question: If Hasbro didn't want us to mock/pass judgement on their Alt OP testshot then why didn't they pay someone to transform/pose/photograph it correctly?

 

I would like to make a point in defense of those who pass judgement: What Hasbro has chosen to show us is, in fact, hideous.  The final product may not be, after being the focus of Remy's Act 1076, but for the time being, Hasbro has given us every reason to believe their latest product is garbage. 

is this the record breaker has op been the most talked about alt prototype/testshot to date? has any other been to 13 pages, speaking of which what are we currently disscusing about him? so have we seen any new pics yet? i wonder what the bt japanese fans think about him, i wonder if he's getting as much backlash over there as he is here, now that'd be interesting

do you think they will make a Megatron?  hopefully he won't be a repaint of Optimus... like all of the other dec. alts being repaints of the autobot ones

honestly i've taken some thought into that and i'd have to say if theirs going to be a megs that more than likely it's going to be the #2 most well known character to tf in that it will be megs so that it can sell overseas, but that's just my thoughts, based off of the thinking for alt/bt op, because less face it they have to do a repaint to maximize the profit just like mp um

:pfx The only thing Rodimus has in common with this new prime is the hood chest and Takara has been doing that since the 1970's. How about they stole this design from their Trailbreaker design.

I'm 100% sure that figures legs are mistransformed. For all the mistakes we point out that hastak make, I can't imagine for a second that they would release a figure with no knees from a line that so far has had a fantastic amount of articulation. My only complaint is the weedy arms and gun - the head mold looks great! I also get the feeling that the waist may be coloured silver and yellow as a homage on the final version. (I think it's the reverse side of the rams grille) Lets just hope that the repaint is a white ram called magnus, not a grey one called megatron.

Maybe we should put this puppy to rest. Especially the debate over it's appearance in bot mode. lets just wait till the inevitable Jaguaratron exclusive (Unless he doesn't like it :redface ) If I'm pissed at Hasbro for any thing, it's putting those Amatuer Pics up and not letting us see any more corrected pics. I know they're reading our forums.

Yeah, you would think that they'd put a little more effort into that. I'm not saying that as a "OMG EVERYONE AT HASBRO SHOULD KNOW HOW TO TRANSFORM THESE TOYS THE RIGHT WAY" fanboy; it's just basic product marketing, you know? Especially when they're making such a big deal out of this particular release, you'd think that they would want to make sure the product was presented in the most favorable way possible. JMO

It's not just your opinion. trust me. Since Hasbro's site says check back later, I thought they'd have some better pictures or at least the actual fig at Botcon. But with folks stealing Prime's license plates, some one might have gotten held at gun point for this sucker.

well I think hasbro have suceeded in getting this product hyped and debated, when the production version comes out we will all get it and it will be the greatest thing ever ;)
