Well I never thought that I would be saying this but he does look sweet and I will be getting him (hopefully, you never know!).

 

 

I agree on the points that MP Prime already goes perfectly with the alts but this guy looks cool in his own right.

Well I cant speak for all...but me...I'm not at all hard to please when it comes to TFs.  But this Alt Prime...like i said...i want to love it but its just a downer.  Optimus is always the stand out, to me, in all lines.  This time though, i really think he's the worst so far in the series.

For what it's worth, I'm almost betting Prime is mistransformed.  But I'm sick of Prime toys, I really don't care anyway.

Mirage, on the other hand.  Drool.  Looks hot.  Only quibble; the GT doesn't seem to be available in light blue, only dark blue.  Dark blue is nice, but ALL the blue Alts have been medium-dark blue so far.

Yup. Some people come in with expectations of what they think an Alternator or Alt. Prime specifically should look like and then, when Hasbro does something different, it's all like SCREW YOU HASBRO! WHY DID YOU SCREW UP MY DREAM?!.  :roll

 

This is just some people, though, and I'm not discounting those who genuinely dislike Alt. Prime based on aesthetics alone. I just don't understand how some people can flat-out hate a toy. I always look for the good in a toy, and I don't really have any expectations as to what a particular toy should look like. I see a lot of things to like about Alt. Prime, and, if it's not mistransformed (as I still think it is), then so be it. I'll still enjoy it for what it is.
