1:24 '69 VW Beetle KB

Recommended Posts

A few months back i bought two VW Model kits.  A a New Beetle and and Old.

Well my NEW beetle KB went down the drain....I was using parts from Alt Swipe and an Alt Smokes and  really Botched it.

Well the 69 is a quite a bit smaller than the NEW model was so i was thinking it would be great on either Cy-Hotshot or Cy-Redalert

Any advise or thoughts?  Anyone else try this?

Also if i did it on alert - i would want to fix the head some how.... i dont like it just sticking through a hole in the roof.  any suggestions there?

(even the old stye Bumblebee HingeHead would be cool)

well the first problem with that is that the Subaru is a LOT bigger than the VW... i mean a LOT.

It was too big even for the NEW beetle model.

A 69 beetle would have to be smaller than WindCharger (though perhaps taller due to the bubble hood

How about Armada Wheeljack?  He's not that much smaller than an alternator and even has a similar head to (a pissed off) Bumblebee.  His articulation would require a lot of work though.

Why not try just using the bot mode parts you need and build them into the car rather than building the car around the bot? That`s how I do all of my customs. rather than put the car on an existing alt body I take what I need from the existing bot and build it into my model kit to make a totally new and unique transformation. For instance my Rodimus Prime uses the head, torso, lower arms, and upper legs from Smokes, the shoulders and upper arms from Sides, and the lower legs from the Haow Gundam. None of which went together perfectly to begin with but as I`ve worked with the pieces in my spare time during the last several months I`m almost finished. Here`s a link to my topic on my Alt Bumblebee, and Prowl so you can see what all I used on him. http://www.TFans.com/talk/index.php?showtopic=22698
