Just want to pitch in - i dont know what the character is like in the cartoon - and i am not sure what you guys are talking about (i thougth ALL the TFs get planet keys...)

 

But i want to say that Evac/Live-Convoy is one of the most FANTASTIC TOYS in the entire TF lines ever...

 

But my question is -  if he has been here on earth and dormant for all this time - what was he back before the Industrial Revolution??

I agree completely about the toy. It's probably the best helicopter they've ever released.

 

As to why he was absent in Armada/Energon, I suppose it could be reasoned that since the Planet Forces were such a big deal that they needed to be split up and sent to the far corners of the galaxy, Evac didn't want to get involved because he took his responsibility of guarding the planet key very seriously. So much so that it superseded getting involved in the whole Unicron thing. Kinda like the knight at the end of the Last Crusade.

 

What I'm really trying to figure out is if Hasbro is just going to dump the whole "G1 transformers cameo in an episode of Galaxy Force" thing. By that rationale, the first age of transformers would have had to existed before an ice age completely wiped all life off of the face of planet earth, only to have a second human evolution occur with humans happening the exact same way as the first time. Because otherwise the Armadaverse would have to exist in the same reality as the original Transformers universe. Which is impossible to reconcile.

Odered the GF version recently and should get him next week. Can hardly wait as he looks great though I am not sure about the colors just yet. They do suit him though.

 

If Evac was here watching the human race then he should be disgusted with us. I mean we had a World War less 60 years ago. And the world is still not a nice place to live in with war and all.

All TFs have the ability to tap into the Planet Force through the use of thier Force chips wich are represented as beams of light. The Planet Force's phisicle manifestation is carried by the Convoy of the planet. The Planet Force is what everyone is looking for.

I love Warren Ellis, I just haven't been able to catch up on that series, considering I just got Bone and Top Ten: The Forty Niners, and my comix budget is constantly at war with my TF budget.
