Optimus prime--looking for odd size

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone,

What an awesome website and forum. Remy does really great work--it's almost as if he creates the pictures I have in my head while I build my collection (which BTW, isn't nearly as impressive as his!)

Okay--question for Remy or others who might know...

I was browsing through the "Act 267" pics because I managed to score this same mini-prime from Toynk a few weeks ago. "mini-convoy16.jpg" shows a great shot of a variety of Optimus primes in various sizes.

I recognize the smallest, Robot-masters, PVC and G1 original, but what is the version 2nd-in from the left? With the all-blue wheels? Does it transform? Does it have a trailer?

I would really like to add a Prime of this scale to my collection. Must be hard to find.

In other news--don't know if others have been to this site but I'm quite impressed with the prices AND the service. Although in Canadian funds you might find that with shipping this outfit is quite competitive with the likes of "Bigbadtoystore", Toywiz, etc.

All for now!

Your best bet is to ask Remy himself. Shoot him a PM or post the thread in the Remy's World forum. I have no clue which Prime that is.

As cefurox said, it's the Japanese Convoy Jr. In Robot mode he stands about 2/3rds the hight of the regular G1 Optimus Prime. He comes with a cardboard trailer that you can fold, although it's not quite to scale and looks a bit out of place. He was available on his own and also in a box set with the Jr versions of Chromedome and Fortress Maximus. He can be a tad expensive, but the funny thing is the set of 3 usually goes for less than the individual toy.

Damn MISB collectors.

Thanks guys! Very helpful... :clap

I've seen the others like Chromedome from time to time...this will be a nice one to search for on Ebay...

Sounds like it will be expensive, but who knows?

Cheers,
